Who We Are
We have always simply been a team of outdoor enthusiasts with a common passion for exploring the Earth’s magnificent natural treasures, and working to ensure these places and parks will always exist for future generations to enjoy. Our mission is based on the conviction that through bringing groups to share in inspiring, rejuvenating experiences at the heart of nature, together we can help cultivate a deeper appreciation for our precious planet.
Jeremy Delost and Anina Imhof founded Black Bear Explorers in February 2006.

Our Groups
Most Black Bear Explorers trips are limited to 6 – 12 people. We like to keep our groups small because it seems to foster the sort of team atmosphere that allows trust, encourages true exploration, and tends to form life-long friendships. Smaller groups are able to travel lightly, leaving less of a footprint on the wild and pristine environments we visit.
Once you have adventured with us, you’re Black Bear Family. And it really does feel like a family. We want to keep in touch, hear about your newest adventures… and you will want to see what we’re up to!
More than 50% of our trip participants are Black Bear Family members! We are proud to have so many members joining us again and again each year. What keeps them coming back is the unique nature of our trips, the contagious passion of the guides, and the opportunity to explore the world’s most remote and precious hidden gems!
