TRAVEL AND PERSONAL ITEMS
- *Spending cash- Just in case. Also, you will be providing your own dinner on Friday evening
- *Medications – Please let us know in advance if you require refrigeration, otherwise you are responsible for storing and administering your own prescribed medication.
CAMPING
- *Tent or bivy sack with rain fly and repair kit
- *Sleeping Bag (a 30F degree bag recommended)
- Sleeping Pad
- Folding Chair
ON THE WATER
- *Water-friendly shoes
- Brimmed hat, for sun protection
- fingerless gloves or other light gloves
EATING AND DRINKING
- Meals on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday are included in the price of the trip. We will meet after dinner, around 7:00 PM on Friday evening .
- *Water bottles (enough to carry 1/2 gallon)
- *Eating bowl or plate
- *Eating utensils
- Insulated mug for warm drinks
- Lighter or waterproof matches
- Biodegradable soap, hand sanitizer, small towel
CLOTHING
- *Hiking boots or sturdy shoes, medium weight, broken-in
- *Sun hat and sunglasses
- *Rain jacket
- Long pants, long-sleeved shirt, and light jacket
- Shorts, short-sleeved shirt, and underwear (quick-dry fabrics are preferred)
- Socks, 2 pair
- Swimsuit & towel
OTHER ESSENTIALS
- *At least 2 waterproof stuff sacks (size: at least 20-liter capacity)
- *Small first aid kit
- *Sunscreen
- *Headlamp, extra bulbs and batteries
- *Toilet paper in plastic bag
- Trowel for digging cat holes (see previous item)
- Extra plastic baggies for packing out trash
- Pocket knife if desired
- Toothbrush, toothpaste
- Camera, waterproof camera or waterproof camera case recommended
*Items marked with a star are essential for a safe and successful weekend in the backcountry
